Description HemoTreat
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
HemoTreat is a medicine indicated for the treatment of haemorrhoids. It is indicated for both internal and external haemorrhoids. It relieves symptoms of pain and inflammation, bleeding and itching.
What is HemoTreat indicated for?
HemoTreat is a medicine indicated for haemorrhoidal disease. It is used to relieve, prevent and treat internal and external haemorrhoids – for all types of haemorrhoids, including those that bleed. It has a curative effect on grade I-III haemorrhoids. For grade IV haemorrhoids, it has a regression effect. Internal haemorrhoids are more common and often asymptomatic. However, in other cases, they can cause pain, itching and even bleeding. External haemorrhoids are usually the most painful and can bleed easily. HemoTreat is also recommended for bleeding in the recto-anal area, to protect the sensitive mucosa and in cases of anal fissures.
How does HemoTreat work?
HemoTreat acts on the vascular wall, improving elasticity and venous circulation. This promotes the remission of haemorrhoids and alleviates symptoms of pain, itching and inflammation. It thus reduces pain and inflammation in the vascular wall and has a lubricating effect. In addition, it alleviates itching and restores the function of the anal mucosa, thanks to the specific properties of its active ingredients.
What forms does HemoTreat come in?
HemoTreat H is available in several forms – HemoTreat ointment in a jar, HemoTreat ointment in a tube and HemoTreat suppositories.
What does HemoTreat contain?
HemoTreat suppositories contain active ingredients such as aloe vera oil extract, calendula, yarrow, clove essential oil and other ingredients.
HemoTreat ointment contains lard, lanolin, white petrolatum, calcium carbonate, camphor, ethyl alcohol, eucalyptus oil and other ingredients. Lanolin and petrolatum have emollient properties, eucalyptus oil has an antimicrobial effect, and camphor has antiseptic and analgesic properties. Lanolin and lard also provide protection and promote healing.
How is HemoTreat administered?
The suppositories are administered internally, after local hygiene, via the anal route – twice a day, in the morning and in the evening. It is recommended that you do not have a bowel movement for 3 hours after applying the suppository. It can be used for 5-7 days, depending on the evolution of symptoms and the severity of the problem.
The ointment is administered to the inner and outer areas of the anus, 2-3 times a day. The treatment is recommended for 5-7 days. Subsequently, as a preventive measure, it can be applied 1-2 times a week.
Can HemoTreat be used during pregnancy?
HemoTreat can also be used by pregnant women, but only if recommended by a specialist doctor.
What are the contraindications and side effects of HemoTreat?
HemoTreat is contraindicated in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the product's ingredients.
The manufacturer states that clinical studies have shown a low risk of adverse effects.
