Oftasecur is an ophthalmic medical product with a protective and soothing effect on the eye area. It is recommended for eye and eyelid irritation, but also as a prophylactic for eye infections.
Forms of release
Oftasecur is available in the following forms:
- Oftasecur eye spray, 8 ml, Inocare Pharm
- Oftasecur lubricating ophthalmic solution, 8 ml, Inocare Pharm
Indications
Oftasecur is indicated for the care and soothing of the eye area. It has a lubricating, soothing, protective and moisturising effect on the eye area. It is indicated for eye and eyelid irritation, as a prophylactic for eye infections, after eye surgery and for the treatment of dry eyes. Due to its specific ingredients, namely Hypromellose, Liposomes and Biosecur, it promotes repair processes, ensures good eye hydration, has antimicrobial activity and reduces the risk of infection.
Dosage and administration
Oftasecur is applied to the eyes. Oftasecur solution is applied 1-2 drops in each eye, 3-4 times a day. Oftasecur spray is applied 1-2 sprays on closed eyelids, from 10 cm, 3-4 times a day. The drops and spray are applied to clean eyes, without makeup. Do not touch the tip of the bottle or the end of the spray to your eyes or eyelids to prevent contamination. Oftasecur spray should only be applied to the outer area of the eyes, with the eyelids closed. Use as recommended by your doctor. The product is usually well tolerated, even during prolonged treatment. Do not use after 60 days of first opening.
Contraindications
Oftasecur is contraindicated in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Interactions with other medicines and food
No interactions with medicines or food are known. If you are using other eye products, apply them at least 10 minutes apart.
Side effects
This ophthalmic product is safe and no adverse reactions are known. Oftasecur is non-irritating and non-allergenic. If any adverse reactions occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
Overdose
Do not use more than indicated on the packaging or more than recommended by your doctor to avoid any possible reactions caused by excessive doses.
Storage
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.
