Respisun

Respisun is a medicine recommended in various situations due to its multiple therapeutic benefits. Here are the details of the main indications for this medicine:

• Respisun is used to facilitate the mobilisation of secretions in the lower respiratory tract in conditions such as bronchiolitis, cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis and others. Through its osmotic effect, the hypertonic saline solution stimulates the release of mucus and helps to loosen and eliminate secretions accumulated in the lower respiratory tract. This can improve breathing and reduce discomfort associated with respiratory conditions.
• Respisun acts as a moisturising and protective agent for the bronchial mucosa. Regular use of this medicine can help maintain adequate moisture in the mucosa, thus preventing it from drying out and becoming irritated. This can be particularly useful if dry air or external factors can cause excessive dryness of the airways.
• Respisun can be used to cleanse and moisturise the nasal mucosa. When used for nasal hygiene, this medicine helps to remove nasal secretions and maintain adequate moisture in the mucosa. This can help relieve nasal congestion, reduce dryness and promote easier and more comfortable breathing.

Respisun, like any other medicine, has certain contraindications that must be taken into account to ensure its safe and effective use. These are:

• Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the components of the medicine: If you have had a previous allergic reaction to sodium chloride or any other ingredient contained in Respisun, you should avoid using it. For inhalation in cases of bronchiolitis and viral respiratory infections, it is recommended to inhale 4 ml of Respisun 3 to 6 times a day. In mild cases, the dose may be reduced to 2-3 ml of inhaled liquid. Respisun can be used in combination with bronchodilator medications, but before combining them, read the instructions for each product separately.

For nasal hygiene, tilt your head back, insert the tip of the single-dose container into one nostril and press gently on the container. Repeat the procedure for the other nostril. After use, drain the mucus and wipe your nose. Do not blow your nose forcefully until 10 minutes after using the product. Respisun for nasal hygiene should be used as needed.

There are no restrictions on the use of Respisun during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, before using any medication during these periods, it is recommended to consult your doctor.
