ViruProtect is an oral spray that deactivates cold and flu viruses where they settle, namely in the mouth and throat.
Forms of release
ViruProtect Stada is available in the following pharmaceutical forms:
- ViruProtect oral spray, 7 ml, Stada;
- ViruProtect oral spray, 20 ml, Stada;
- ViruProtect strawberry-flavoured oral spray, 20 ml, Stada.
ViruProtect contains glycerol, trypsin, calcium chloride, trometamol and strawberry flavouring (in the case of ViruProtect oral spray with strawberry flavour, 20 ml, Stada). This medicine does not contain sugar or other sweeteners, gluten, preservatives, antibiotics or alcohol.
Indications for use
ViruProtect can be used as soon as the first symptoms of flu and colds appear, forming a protective barrier on the mucous membrane that blocks viruses. ViruProtect works by deactivating the most common flu and cold viruses and, at the same time, protects the oral cavity and throat and prevents infection of the lower respiratory tract. The glycerol in this medicine dehydrates viruses and soothes inflammation of the mucous membrane, while trypsin deactivates viruses and prevents them from multiplying.
Dosage and administration
ViruProtect can be used from the age of 4 years. The product is sprayed into the back of the throat in doses of 2 sprays every 2 hours, up to a maximum of 6 times a day. Do not inhale the product during spraying. This is a product for personal use; its use by more than one person is unhygienic. As there are no studies in this regard, it is not recommended to use ViruProtect during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a specialist doctor.

This medicine is contraindicated in case of allergy or sensitivity to any of the ingredients.
