Beta-Alanine is a component of carnosine dipeptide. Carnosine buffers the drop in pH in muscle cells associated with, among others, with the formation of lactic acid during physical exercise. By delaying the onset of fatigue, it allows you to extend training time, helps in the regeneration of muscle cells and extends their ability to work, and prevents muscle acidification [1]. Moreover, carnosine has antioxidant properties - it has the ability to chelate metal ions, activate superoxide dismutase and capture free oxygen radicals.
