Aktimed® TAPE PLUS is an elastic tape bandage (kinesiology tape) with integrated highly purified plant extracts from Arnica montana, Ruhs toxicodendron and Ruta graveolens.

The main effects of conventional kinesiology tape can be optimally supported by the pain-relieving, decongestant and circulation-enhancing properties of the plant extracts.
The carrier material and the plant extracts interact in combination. These are applied to the areas to be treated and act locally on the damaged structure. Therefore, the additional administration of pain-relieving/decongestant tablets/ointments may be significantly less than usual.

Areas of application:
Prevention / therapy / rehabilitation of muscle, tendon and joint problems.

Examples: Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine syndromes; recent injuries with pronounced hematomas (e.g., muscle fiber tears); contusions; acceleration injuries; hallux valgus; heel spurs; sprains; tendon and ligament injuries; tension headaches; rheumatic complaints; carpal tunnel syndrome; tennis and golfer's elbow; rotator cuff injuries; impingement syndrome; migraine; gonarthrosis; coxarthrosis; scars; fibroses; sciatica; Achilles tendon injury; aftercare of fractures and dislocations following plaster cast immobilization.

Instructions for use:
This product is for single use only and should only be applied by trained personnel. Before application, the skin must be clean and free of oils and lotions. Remove the protective film. Depending on the indication, apply the tape with or without stretching. The adhesive develops its bonding strength through the application of heat.
It is recommended to smooth the tape from the base towards the end. Apply the tape 30 minutes before any sporting activity. After showering or bathing, pat the tape dry or use a hairdryer on a low setting. Skin irritation may occasionally occur. If this happens, remove the tape immediately. The tape is easiest to remove after showering or bathing.

Safety instructions:
Do not use the tape if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, or test it first on a small area of ​​skin. Do not apply to open wounds or skin injuries. Do not use in cases of acute or chronic skin conditions (e.g., atopic dermatitis during a flare-up, psoriasis, fungal infections). Do not use in cases of thrombosis or thrombophlebitis. Do not use distal to the occlusion in cases of peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Do not use in cases of malignant tumors, radiation therapy, or chemotherapy. Pregnant women should only apply the tape after consulting their doctor. Keep out of reach of children.
Application duration: The tape stays on the skin for up to 6 days.
