Description
ACTION AND MECHANISM
- Combination of [ANTI-INFLAMMATORY FOR EXCLUSIVE TOPICAL USE] and [ANALGESIC] of non-steroidal type, from the salicylate group, which acts by preventing the synthesis of prostaglandins and other prostanoids, through the inhibition of cyclooxygenase (diethylamine salicylate) with a local anesthetic (mirtecaine).
SPECIAL WARNINGS
- If symptoms persist for more than 7 days or irritation or worsening occurs, the patient's clinical condition should be evaluated.
PATIENT ADVICE
- Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. - Do not use with occlusive dressings or apply simultaneously to the same area as other topical preparations. - Do not use for prolonged periods or on large areas. - Use only on intact skin, not on open wounds, mucous membranes, or eczematous skin. - Do not expose the treated area to sunlight. - Wash hands after each application.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- [SALICYLATE ALLERGY] or [NSAID ALLERGY].- Although local administration minimizes the risks associated with systemic use, topical application to large areas of skin, open wounds, mucous membranes, or eczematous skin, for prolonged periods and with the use of occlusive dressings, can cause systemic effects. Therefore, it is important to remember that its use is not recommended in patients who have experienced allergic reactions (rhinitis, asthma, pruritus, angioedema, urticaria, shock, or others) caused by acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs due to the possibility of cross-sensitivity.
PREGNANCY
- The safety of use during pregnancy has not been established. Its use in these circumstances should be determined by a physician, weighing the benefits against the risks, as the components can be absorbed systemically through the skin, causing systemic effects.
INDICATIONS
- Local symptomatic relief of painful or inflammatory conditions of traumatic or degenerative origin of the joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles ([ARTHRITIS], periarthritis, [CAPSULITIS], arthrosynovitis, [TENOSYNOVITIS], sprains, [TORTICOLLIS], [LUMBALGIA], [CONTRACTURE], [BURSITIS], [TENDINITIS], [CONTUSION], [DISLOCATION], [SPRAIN]).
INTERACTIONS
- It should not be used with other rubefacient cutaneous preparations, as their effects are enhanced.
LACTATION
The safety of this product during breastfeeding has not been established. Although systemic absorption is minimal with cutaneous use, the preparation should not be used during breastfeeding except under medical supervision, as the components may cross the placental barrier.
CHILDREN
- Its use is not recommended.
GUIDELINES FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION
- Apply a thin layer of the product to the affected area with a light massage to facilitate penetration. - Wash your hands after each application.
POSOLOGY
DOSAGE: - For external use only. - Adults and children over 12 years: apply 2 or 3 times a day. - Do not apply for more than 7 consecutive days without consulting a doctor.
PRECAUTIONS RELATING TO EXCIPIENTS
- Because it contains cetyl alcohol, it may cause local skin reactions, such as contact dermatitis.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Exceptionally, erythema and stinging at the application site. May produce [ERYTHEMA], [PRURITUS], a sensation of [SKIN IRRITATION] at the application site and local allergic sensitization, effects that subside upon discontinuation of application.
