Algivon Plus Reinforced Alginate Wound Dressing, soaked in 100% Manuka Honey

Algivon Plus features reinforced alginate fibers that allow for a sustained and slow release of honey while maintaining the integrity of the wound dressing.

Upon contact with a wound, Algivon Plus® becomes very soft and is therefore ideal for preventing tissue demarcation.

Characteristics:

• Antibacterial - Non-peroxide, antimicrobial Manuka factor
• Osmotic - The low water content of honey actively draws fluid from the wound bed, promotes autolytic debridement and inhibits bacterial growth.
• Promotes wound healing - Honey promotes granulation and epithelialization, especially due to its content of water-soluble antioxidants.
• Reduction of wound odor - Rapid reduction and elimination of wound odor, primarily through antimicrobial activity.
• Adaptable - The alginate fibers make the dressing flexible and adaptable even for complicated wound surfaces.
• Non-adherent – ​​The alginate fibers retain moisture after absorbing exudate. This prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound.

Areas of application:
