^Artelac® Lipids ^EDO® is our shield against severely watery dry eyes, which are caused by chronic diseases or medication use and cannot be adequately relieved by thin, lipid-containing eye moisturizers.

As a drop gel, it provides long-lasting protection for the eye's surface by replenishing and stabilizing the lipid layer with its rich lipids. This reduces evaporation of the aqueous layer. The carbomer also provides long-lasting hydration to the cornea and conjunctiva.

In some cases, the symptoms of dry eye cannot be sufficiently relieved by thin eye lubricating drops. Thicker, lipid-containing eye drops in the form of a gel can then provide relief.

Watery, dry eyes

Dry eyes can also be accompanied by increased tear production. This is caused by a disruption in the composition of the natural tear film, which leads to the tear fluid running over the eyelid margin. Replenishing the outer lipid layer can provide relief.

MEDICATION TAKING

Dry eyes can be caused by various conditions, such as autoimmune diseases, or by the regular use of medications (including topical beta-blockers). Long-lasting protection and lubrication of the eye surface are then essential.

Artelac Lipids EDO – Intensive moisturizing as a dropper gel

Instructions for use:
Grasp the single-dose vial at the end with the label and carefully detach it from the strip. Hold the vial by the end with the label and the cap facing down, and gently tap it until all the eye gel is in the neck of the vial. Twist (do not pull) the cap off the vial. Tilt your head back slightly and gently pull down your lower eyelid with a finger of your free hand. Hold the vial vertically with the dropper tip pointing down over your eye, without touching your eye. Squeeze the vial to dispense one drop into the lower conjunctival sac. Then close your eyes, move them gently from side to side, and blink to ensure the gel drop is well distributed across the surface of the eye.
