Aktin Cream for the Treatment of Actinic Keratosis, 30 ml, Solartium

AKTIN® Cream for the Treatment of Actinic Keratosis and Cancer Fields. AKTIN® is a fixed-dose preparation intended for the treatment of actinic keratosis and cancer field.

It is a patented formula based on Polyvinyl Alcohol, combined with a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (Piroxicam), a topical emollient (Fomblin), and a UVA and UVB 50+ filter.

AKTIN® is a CE-certified medical device, manufactured in Italy, approved by the Italian National Institute of Health, and notified to the Romanian Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices.

Ingredients:

Polyvinyl alcohol, polyperfluoromethylisopropyl ether, piroxicam, glycerin, cetearyl isononanoate, octocrylene, bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine, ethylhexyl stearate, polyglyceryl-2-dipolysilane, diethylhexyl butamido triazone, dicaprylyl ether, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, titanium dioxide, ceryl glycol oleate, triacontanyl PVP, potassium cetyl phosphate, hydrogenated castor oil, magnesium sulfate, salicylic acid, disteardimonium hectorite, oryzanol, hydrolyzed jojoba esters, dipropylene glycol, caprylyl glycol, glyceryl laurate, phenylpropanol, tocopherol, ascorbyl palmitate, lecithin, disodium EDTA, citric acid, water.

How to use:

• Before application, it is recommended to thoroughly clean the area
• It is recommended to apply Aktin cream twice a day, morning and evening, to the lesions and the entire tumor area, in a thin layer and massaging until completely absorbed
• For optimal results, it is recommended to continue the treatment for at least 12 weeks.

Mode of action:

• Piroxicam exerts an anti-inflammatory and antiproliferative effect through the non-selective inhibition of COX1 and COX2, two enzymes that are precursors of prostaglandins (PGs), which promote the uncontrolled proliferation of dysplastic cells, the formation of lesions specific to actinic keratosis, and their conversion from benign to malignant
• At the same time, Piroxicam is combined with Fomblin, a substance with an emollient and moisturizing effect that increases treatment tolerance, and Polyvinyl A, a non-occlusive polymer matrix that prevents percutaneous absorption of the active ingredients and allows the preparation to be applied to large surfaces, without the risk of adverse side effects on the stomach, liver, or intestines
• Clinical studies have shown that AKTIN® has a high rate of elimination of visible actinic keratosis lesions and significantly improves peritumoral field parameters (erythema, burning sensation, and atrophy associated with actinic keratosis)
• The treatment was well tolerated by all patients, and 12 months after the end of treatment, no patient had recurrences after the initial elimination of actinic keratoses.

Precautions:

• Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun or UV rays during treatment.
• In case of localized skin redness, it is recommended to reduce the frequency of product application.
