Details:
DracoSuperabsorber is a non-adherent wound dressing with superabsorbent particles. It is suitable for the treatment of highly to very highly exuding wounds where efficient absorption combined with infrequent dressing changes is required. The 10 cm x 10 cm size absorbs up to 240 ml, the 10 cm x 20 cm size up to 400 ml (test methods according to EN 13726-1: absorption: 30 minutes, section 3.2; retention: 2 minutes with 1 kg weight, blood substitute solution = 0.9% NaCl).

DracoSuperabsorber absorbs excess wound fluid and binds it as a gel within the dressing. The product absorbs the fluid vertically, reducing the risk of softening and damage to the wound area while keeping it moist. The dressing has a hydrophobic, green backing that minimizes moisture penetration. This feature provides your patients with a sense of security and protects clothing and linens. This highly absorbent dressing is suitable for the treatment of acute and chronic, heavily to very heavily exuding wounds in the exudative and granulation phases, such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, secondary wound healing disorders, split-thickness skin grafts, and second-degree burns. DracoSuperabsorber can be used as a primary or secondary dressing and under compression therapy. For fixation, we recommend, for example, DracoFixiermull stretch or elastic fixation bandages such as DracoElfi or DracoSumbi.

Wearing time:
Several days, depending on the clinical condition of the wound and the amount of exudate absorbed.
