NAME DRONCIT SPOT-ON 20 MG SPOT-ON SOLUTION FOR CATS ACTIVE INGREDIENTS 1 tube of 0.5 ml solution contains: praziquantel 20 mg. Excipients: butylhydroxytoluene (BHT - E321) 0.5 mg. For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1. EXCIPIENTS Butylhydroxytoluene (BHT - E321); N - methylpyrrolidone. THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS Anthelmintic for cats. Effective against mature and immature forms of Dipylidium caninum and Taenia spp. The spectrum of action of praziquantel covers all important species of feline tapeworms. It specifically includes all species of Taenia infesting cats, Multiceps multiceps, Joyeuxiella pasqualei, Dipylidium caninum, Mesocestoides spp., Echinococcus granulosus and Echinococcus multilocularis. Praziquantel is effective against all intestinal stages of these parasites present in cats. CONTRAINDICATIONS / ADVERSE EFFECTS: Cats weighing less than 1 kg, as the tubes are not suitable for administering doses suitable for cats under 1 kg body weight. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. SAFETY IN TARGET SPECIES: Overdose may lead to mild skin reactions that disappear spontaneously within a few days. DOSAGE: The minimum recommended dose is 8 mg praziquantel/kg body weight. The solution is administered through the tube, which makes application easy and safe. Remove one tube from the packaging. Hold the tube upright, unscrew and remove the cap. Use the cap in reverse to twist and remove the seal from the tube. Using two fingers, part the fur at the nape of the neck, just behind the head, so that the skin is visible. Holding the tube upright, place the tip on the skin and, pressing several times, apply the entire contents to the affected area. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water. If eye or skin irritation persists, seek medical advice. Do not eat, drink or smoke during application. Do not ingest. DIAGNOSIS AND PRESCRIPTION: Veterinary medicinal product without medical prescription. ADVERSE REACTIONS: Occasionally, a local reaction may be observed at the application site after treatment, such as dermatitis, slight exudation or exudation, hair loss, hypersensitivity. The product has a bitter taste, and occasionally salivation and vomiting may occur if the cat licks the application site immediately after treatment.
