What is Elevit 1 and what does it contain?
Elevit 1 is a food supplement specially designed to meet the increased nutritional needs of mothers and support the healthy development of the child.

The multivitamins contained in Elevit 1 are specifically adapted to the level of vitamins and minerals needed by women during the pre-conception period and the first trimester of pregnancy.

Ingredients: calcium carbonate (calcium); bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium oxide (magnesium); L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C); coating agents: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, polyethylene glycol, sucrose esters of fatty acids; ferrous fumarate (iron); zinc citrate (zinc); anti-caking agents: talc, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide; colouring agent: calcium carbonate; nicotinamide (niacin); dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E); sodium selenite (selenium); rice starch; calcium D-pantothenate (pantothenic acid); manganese sulphate (manganese); beta-carotene (vitamin A); potassium iodide (iodine); pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6); copper sulphate (copper); thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1); riboflavin (vitamin B2); folic acid (calcium L-methylfolate, pteroylmonoglutamic acid); cholecalciferol (vitamin D); cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12); D-biotin (biotin).

Cell division and the role of folates in reducing the risk of neural tube defects in the fetus

Elevit 1 contains 800 µg folates (folic acid and *Metafolin ® ) . Folates play a role in cell division and support the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy.

In addition to the diet, ensuring sufficient folate intake is essential throughout pregnancy, especially during the first trimester.
Additional folic acid intake optimizes the maternal body's folic acid levels.

Folic acid is the stable synthetic version of folate, which must be converted into a bioactive form in the body through a multi-step process. In some people, this conversion into
its active form of folic acid may however be affected. To ensure optimal folate status in these women, Elevit 1 also contains folic acid in the form of bioactive folate, called calcium L-methylfolate.
(Metafolin).
The balanced combination of folic acid and Metafolin helps maintain optimal folic acid levels in all women in the pre-conception period or during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Reducing fatigue
Iron, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 help reduce tiredness and fatigue. Iron is involved in the normal formation of red blood cells (erythrocytes), which are necessary for the transport of oxygen in the body.

Immune system and cellular protection

The immune system ensures the health of the body.
During the pre-conception period or during pregnancy, optimal immune system function is of particular importance. Elevit 1 contains vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, copper and folate, which help to
normal functioning of the immune system. Vitamin C, copper and selenium are very important antioxidants that help protect cells against oxidative stress (reactive oxygen, which can
damage cellular structures).

Fertility and hormonal activity
Elevit 1 contains zinc. As zinc is important in the regulation of the female hormones estrogen and progesterone, zinc contributes to maintaining normal fertility and reproduction.
Elevit 1 also contains vitamin B6, which contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity. Iodine is an essential nutrient for the body. Although only needed in very small amounts, iodine contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and the normal functioning of the thyroid gland.
These hormones maintain the body's metabolic state and support normal growth and development in children.

How is Elevit 1 administered?
Route of administration: oral.

Instructions for use : 1 film-coated tablet per day, with a little water during the pre-conception period and during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose for daily consumption.

The product is a food supplement and should not replace a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Keep out of sight and reach of small children.
Store below 25°C, in the original packaging.
