A scar is a repair of the skin by connective tissue following an injury to the skin and underlying tissues.
When skin tissue is damaged, blood leaks out, which, after clotting, is replaced by connective tissue cells. Once the skin repair is complete, a scar will begin to form, initially pinkish and then whitish.
For the treatment of hypertrophic scars, CR-Health offers its clients post-operative aids, such as patches or silicone gels. These products reduce scars and relieve redness and itching.
