Galenica Tributin Special Food Supplement 30 tabs
Description
Tributin® is a product for managing the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome , such as abdominal pain , bloating, constipation or diarrhea or their alternation, which contains butyric acid , probiotics and prebiotics .
Butyric Acid
- Butyric acid is a short-chain fatty acid found naturally as a minor component in the fat fraction of milk and its derivatives.
- In humans, it is a substance that is naturally formed in the large intestine as a result of the fermentation of dietary fiber.
- Clinical experience has shown that in patients with disturbances in the cellular balance in the large intestine, especially in the ileocolic section, the intake of butyric acid leads to a remarkable improvement in symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain and general malaise.
It is the main source of energy for the epithelial cells of the large intestine:
- stimulates their normal replacement and maturation and plays a significant "key" role in maintaining the integrity of the mucosa and in the healing process of intestinal lesions,
- activates the reabsorption of water and sodium in the large intestine,
- It helps reduce intestinal pH, thus creating an unfavorable environment for the growth of pathogenic bacteria.
Sour
- They are the most beneficial bacteria found in the large intestine of adults and children.
- These bacteria decline with age and when health begins to deteriorate.
- The population of Bifidobacterium Bifidus bacteria that colonizes the human intestine can be destroyed by many factors related to lifestyle, health, and environmental conditions.
The benefits of consuming bifidobacteria are:
- Preventing colonization of the intestine by hostile pathogenic bacteria and fungi, with which bifidobacteria compete for nutrients.
- The production of acetic acid and lactic acid, which lower the pH of the intestine and thus make the area inhospitable to other bacteria.
- Inhibiting bacteria that can convert dietary nitrates into potentially dangerous nitrites.
- An adequate population of bifidobacteria can resolve constipation issues and improve intestinal function.
Fructooligosaccharides (FOS)
- Fructo-oligosaccharides are complex carbohydrates , i.e. natural sugars in the form of polymers, found in small amounts in various plants.
- Along with other starch-like oligosaccharides, such as inulin, fructo-oligosaccharides are almost indigestible. They are widely used for their " prebiotic " effect, meaning they serve as nutrients for the diverse bacterial populations that make up our intestinal flora.
- Fructo-oligosaccharides enhance the ability of lactic enzymes (probiotics) to promote normal intestinal function, especially when combined with highly beneficial bacteria such as bifidobacteria.
- In addition to improving digestion and absorption, fructo-oligosaccharides help prevent intestinal disorders such as constipation, colitis, or diarrhea.
Recommended dosage
- The dosage should be determined by the attending physician, taking into account the different individual needs of the patient.
