Glucose is intended for dietary management in order to perform an oral glucose tolerance test (sugar curve), in states of carbohydrate deficiency, in states of exhaustion, e.g. after long-term physical exercise, in states of hypoglycemia in patients with diagnosed diabetes (e.g. in case of insulin overdose).

1/4 of the sachet corresponds to approximately 17 g of glucose.

How to use:

Oral glucose tolerance test: after testing fasting blood glucose, 75 g - the entire sachet, dissolve in a glass of water (200 - 300 ml), drink the solution within 3-5 minutes. The next glucose test is performed after 120 minutes.

In states of exhaustion, after physical exercise: you can take a teaspoon or a few teaspoons of glucose (5-20 g).

If you experience symptoms of a drop in sugar level that may pose a risk of hypoglycemia: take 10-20 g of glucose as soon as possible. 10-20 g of glucose causes an increase in glycemia after about 10-20 minutes. To avoid a similar hypoglycemic event, consume complex carbohydrates and repeat the blood glucose measurement after 60 minutes. In patients treated with intensive insulin therapy, using insulin analogues or during treatment with a personal insulin pump, in the event of hypoglycemia, 15 g of glucose should be taken orally and the glycemia should be checked after 15 minutes. If low blood glucose levels persist, repeat glucose administration and check glucose levels after another 15 minutes (15/15 rule).
