Description
Humana SL is food for special medical purposes in powder form. The product is intended for food management:
- in infants with cow's milk intolerance, including lactose intolerance,
- in infants with galactosemia or cow's milk protein allergy,
- as the only source of food from birth and as a food supplement after the age of 6 months.
Intolerance to cow's milk can be caused by various conditions such as galactosemia, lactose intolerance or allergy to cow's milk proteins. Affected infants need an individual diet as they cannot be given cow's milk formulas.
The Humana SL product formula is based on soy protein and is naturally lactose free. The powdered preparation can be used as an alternative to cow's milk for the preparation of dairy-free porridges, as well as for baking and cooking various dishes. Humana SL can also replace cow's milk at a later age - after the age of one year, supplementing the nutritional diet. Soy-based products develop babies properly and are no different in this respect than cow's milk-based formulas.
