Lactiferon to improve iron deficiency in pregnancy, 30 capsules, Solartium Group

Lactiferon can alleviate iron deficiency or mild and moderate iron deficiency anemia. Lactiferon does not contain iron.
Lactiferon significantly increases the number of red blood cells, hemoglobin, ferritin and total serum iron, after 30 days of administration.

Composition:
LACTIFERON contains 100 mg of lactoferrin/caps., a protein that belongs to the transferrin family and is characterized by a high capacity to absorb iron ions from the body.
Lactoferrin is present in large quantities in colostrum and in a smaller quantity in the milk of mammals. Lactoferrin plays an important role in the secretion of certain bodily fluids such as saliva, tears, nasal secretions, vaginal secretions and other mucous secretions.
Lactoferrin is considered a fundamental component of the innate immune system that offers protection to the mucosa against infections, by directly inhibiting pathogenic microorganisms (viruses, bacteria and fungi) and by regulating systemic immune responses.
Lactoferrin also has anti-inflammatory properties.

Administration method
1 capsule of 100mg Lactiferon x 2 times a day (equivalent to 200 mg lactoferin/day), at least 1 hour before or after meals.

Side effects:
Administration of 200 mg per day of Lactiferon has been shown to be well tolerated. Clinical studies performed on pregnant patients with iron deficiency did not report adverse reactions following the administration of Lactiferon.

Each capsule contains 100 mg of lyophilized Lactoferrin extracted from cow's milk.
