Nasogastric tube in PUR

Description
Medical device CE class IIB (Directive 93/42/EEC).
Long-term enteral nutrition based on a tube. The polyurethane (PUR) nasogastric tube for enteral nutrition has a lubricated stylet. The device is equipped with a special male ENFit connector for enteral nutrition, which allows it to be connected to the female ENFit terminal connector on enteral nutrition sets and syringes to prevent improper connections (ISO 80369-3).
Flocare nasogastric tubes are characterized by:
ENFit male connector with locking cap, compatible with ENFit type syringes and incompatible with other connections (e.g. Luer lock) to ensure increased patient safety and avoid improper connections;
three radiopaque lines that allow the assessment of correct positioning of the probe;
two different graduated notches, blue in color, with intervals of 2 cm and 1 cm;
distal end with two lateral and one apical orifice;
mandrel (=metal guide wire) coated with silicone to facilitate the positioning and reinsertion procedure in the probe, in order to remove any sediment that could obstruct the probe itself.
The device is free of latex and phthalates.
The product is sterilized with ethylene oxide.

recommendation
Polyurethane/silicone tubes should only be lubricated with water or water-soluble gel. Tubes should be flushed before and after meals and medications, at least three times a day.

Mandrel: Silicone coated stainless steel.

Conservation
Store in a cool, dry place.
Shelf life in unopened packaging: 60 months.
