Unifine® Pentips®: Comfortable pen needles for injection

Unifine® Pentips® pen needles are designed to offer people with diabetes the most comfortable injection experience possible. A large proportion (57 percent) of people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes consciously avoid necessary insulin injections because they fear the pain. The use of Unifine® Pentips® has been optimized to increase comfort by significantly reducing the required insertion force, making the injection process less stressful.

The increased comfort of the pen needles is achieved through the following design elements:

• Thin-wall technology for improved drug flow, requiring less finger force during dose delivery and reducing the duration to minimize the risk of thumb osteoarthritis.
• An anti-coring technology is integrated at the lower end of the needle, ensuring clean penetration of the drug ampoule to avoid fragments and guarantee the effectiveness of drug delivery.
• A modern silicone lubricating film, which reduces friction between the needle and the skin, facilitates both the insertion and withdrawal of the needle.
