ZETALAX GLYCEROL SUPPOSITORIES ADULTS
Description
PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY: Laxative.
INDICATIONS: It is used for the short-term treatment of occasional constipation.
CONTRAINDICATIONS/SIDE EFFECTS: Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Laxatives are contraindicated in subjects with acute or unknown abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting, intestinal obstruction or stenosis, rectal bleeding of unknown origin, or severe dehydration. Generally contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
DOSAGE: ADULTS AND CHILDREN: 1 adult suppository as needed or as prescribed by a doctor. CHILDREN OVER 2 YEARS: 1 child suppository as needed or as prescribed by a doctor. INFANTS: 1 infant suppository as needed or as prescribed by a doctor. Take preferably in the evening. Laxatives should be used as infrequently as possible and for no longer than seven days. Use for longer periods of time requires a doctor's prescription after appropriate evaluation of the individual case.
INTERACTIONS: No interactions with other medications or other substances have been reported. If you are taking other medications, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
SIDE EFFECTS: Occasionally: isolated cramping pain or abdominal colic, more frequent in cases of severe constipation.
