Liv 52 for liver protection supports the proper functioning of the hepatobiliary system. It protects the liver from the harmful effects of certain medications, alcohol or other toxins. It reduces fat accumulation in the liver, stimulates bile secretion, supports appetite and digestion, and can be used as an adjuvant in liver and bladder problems. Hepatoprotectors are dietary supplements that are particularly important for the health of the liver and gallbladder. They play a supportive role and can help protect these organs from damage caused by various conditions or the side effects of certain medications.

The general recommendation for taking Liv 52 is 2 tablets 2-3 times a day for adults and 1 tablet twice a day for children. They should be taken with a large glass of water and preferably during meals. Liv 52 DS is a more concentrated version of the Liv 52 supplement, intended exclusively for adults. It contains twice as many active ingredients, so it is recommended to take only 1 tablet twice a day (or 2 tablets twice a day in certain cases). Liv 52 syrup is administered 20 ml twice a day for adults, 10 ml twice a day for children aged 6-12 years and 5 ml twice a day for children aged 1-6 years.

How long should Liv 52 be taken: LIV 52 is a dietary supplement with hepatoprotective action, recommended for administration for a minimum period of 3 months in the case of transient conditions. Despite the fact that there are no proven interactions with drugs or adverse reactions during the administration of LIV 52, it is important to follow the medical recommendation regarding the duration of treatment. The positive effects of LIV 52 or other hepatoprotective agents may be observed after at least one month of administration. It is essential not to interrupt the allopathic treatment prescribed by your doctor while taking LIV 52. This supplement can be used safely over a long period of time.

Patients with advanced kidney failure (GFR < 30 ml/min/1.73 m2) should not use any dietary supplements or medicines without their doctor's approval. LIV 52 DS is more concentrated than the simple version and is only intended for adults, not children.

Avoid medicines that have a negative impact on the liver when taking LIV 52. Also avoid using other liver regeneration supplements. Paracetamol is an example of a hepatotoxic medicine that should be avoided. Alcohol consumption, which has a toxic effect on the liver, should also be avoided to maximise the positive effects of the treatment. Diet can also play a crucial role in liver detoxification. Avoid saturated fatty acids in pastries, margarine, concentrated sweets and fried foods.
