Properties:
It protects against free radicals, activates the immune system. Selenium is an essential trace element in many chemical reactions in the body, being incorporated into more than 20 proteins. It is ranked among the most important nutrients in the fight against cancer. Selenium deficiency has been associated with fatigue, growth disorders, high cholesterol, infections, pancreatic insufficiency, infertility and cardiovascular disease.

Adjuvant effects:

- as an antioxidant, it protects cell membranes, inhibits fat oxidation and is an important component of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which captures hydrogen peroxide (a dangerous substance);
- helps to produce antibodies, positively influencing the activity of the immune system;
- stimulates cardiac muscle activity;
- reduces blood viscosity, clot formation and increases the ratio of HDL (good) cholesterol to that of LDL (bad) cholesterol;
