Doppelherz system's Eye Plus Vision+Protection contains a combination of nutrients that contribute to maintaining normal vision and protecting cells . Two capsules contain selected vitamins and trace elements , as well as polyunsaturated fatty acids, to nourish our eyes.

Capsule 1: Vitamins for maintaining eyesight

Capsule 1 contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. Vitamin B2 also contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes .

Vitamins A and B2 : Vitamins A and B2 contribute to the maintenance of normal vision. Vitamin B2 also contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes .

15 mg lutein + 1 mg zeaxanthin + 25 mg bilberry extract : Lutein and zeaxanthin are found mainly in plant-based foods, such as green vegetables. The macula (yellow spot) of the retina contains a high concentration of these substances.

DHA from highly concentrated marine fish oil : The omega-3 fatty acid docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is found in the photoreceptor cells of the retina. Doppelherz system capsules contain a high concentration of omega-3 fatty acids. The omega-3 concentrate achieves an omega-3 fatty acid content of 55%. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision . The beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA.

Doppelherz system Eye Vision+Protection contains 110 mg DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) per capsule from marine fish oil with a high omega-3 fatty acid content.

Capsule 2: Nutrients for the cell protection systems

Capsule 2 , with its vitamins C and E, and the trace elements selenium, zinc and copper, contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress .

The eye is exposed to increased oxidative stress due to the visual process and repeated exposure to light. However, free radicals are also produced during normal vision. Our body has its own antioxidant defense system to neutralize these free radicals. Therefore, it is important to consume sufficient and regular amounts of vitamins C and E, as well as the trace elements selenium, zinc, and copper, through food.

Zinc also contributes to the normal metabolism of vitamin A and, like vitamin A, plays a role in maintaining normal vision.
