Nutmeg Essential Oil (Myristica fragrans)

Nutmeg is the fruit of the nutmeg tree, a tree native to the Spice Islands. Nutmeg oil has a warming and analgesic effect when applied to the skin.

HOW TO USE:

Bath – Fill the bathtub with warm water and add essential oils (previously mixed with a carrier oil). For one bath, use 6-12 drops of oil mixed with one tablespoon (10ml) of carrier oil.
Massage – Add the selected essential oils to the base oil intended for massage. Pour approximately 50 ml of the base oil into a glass bowl or bottle, add 10-25 drops of essential oil, and mix.
Store the mixture in a tightly closed dark glass bottle in a cool and dark place.
Shake the bottle before each use.
For one teaspoon (5ml) of base oil, usually 2-3 drops of essential oils are added.
Spraying – fill the water container in the aroma burner or diffuser with water and add 3 to 6 drops of essential oil.
Sauna – add 5 drops of essential oil to 1 liter of water.

Composition / INCI:

Myristica fragrans, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, sabinene, terpinen-4-ol, alpha terpinene, delta-3-carene, limonene, isoeugenol, myrcene, safrole, terpinolene, camphene.

Note! Safety of use:
- oils should not be used by pregnant women and children without prior consultation with a doctor
- protect eyes from direct contact with the oil
- do not apply undiluted oils directly to the skin, with the exception of tea tree and lavender oil
- do not use in case of known allergy to the oil
- after using citrus oils, avoid sun and UV lamps

CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR USING OILS:
– do not use in the first months of pregnancy: peppermint, thyme
– do not use during pregnancy: cedar, myrrh, cypress, fennel, juniper, marjoram, rosemary, sage (has a spasmodic effect)
– do not use in case of high blood pressure: thyme
– do not use in case of epilepsy: rosemary, fennel
– do not take internally (do not drink)
