Monogen is a food for special medical purposes high in medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs).

Monogen is a complete, flavorless, low-fat nutritional powder, low in long-chain triglycerides (LCTs), rich in medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), with linolenic acid (LA) and α-linolenic acid (ALA), supplemented with docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and arachidonic acid (AA).

Monogen can be used as a sole source of nutrition for infants and as a dietary supplement for children and adults.

Indications:

Monogen is recommended and used under medical supervision in

• Chylothorax
• Type 1 hyperlipoproteinemia
• Intestinal lymphangiectasia
• Intractable malabsorption with steatorrhea
• Long-chain fatty acid (LCP) metabolism disorders
• Other lymphatic or lipid disorders requiring a diet rich in MCTs
• Postoperative administration in short bowel syndrome.

Ingredients:

Glucose syrup, whey protein concentrate (cow's milk), refined coconut vegetable oil, dibasic calcium phosphate, tripotassium citrate, walnut oil, emulsifier E472(c), trisodium citrate, L-threonine, magnesium chloride, sodium chloride, L-phenylalanine, choline bitartrate, L-lysine acetate, L-tyrosine, L-glutamine, L-isoleucine, L-valine, L-leucine, m-inositol, L-ascorbic acid, L-histidine, L-methionine, L-cystine, taurine, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, L-carnitine, DL-alpha tocopheryl acetate, nicotinamide, D-calcium pantothenate, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, riboflavin, vitamin A acetate, pyridoxine hydrochloride. How to prepare:

• Wash your hands and clean the area where the formula is prepared
• Sterilize bottles and nipples
• Boil fresh water for 5 minutes and let it cool for at least 30 minutes so that it feels warm when dripped onto your wrist
• Pour the required amount of water into a sterile bottle
• Fill the measuring cup in the box with Monogen powder and remove the excess with the blade of a clean knife
• Do not press the powder into the measuring cup
• Use only the measuring cup provided
• Add the prescribed Monogen powder to the water in the bottle
• Place the cap on the bottle and shake until the powder dissolves
• Before feeding, ensure the formula is at the right temperature by dropping a few drops on your wrist
• Formula left in the bottle for more than an hour is discarded
• Formula should not be heated while feeding the infant
• Prolonged contact with the nipple can cause tooth decay and subsequent problems
• It is recommended to clean the oral cavity before bedtime.

Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place (5-20°C), away from sunlight
• Once opened, use the powder within a maximum of one month
• Always replace the lid after use
• Expiration date: 15 months from the date of manufacture

• Unflavored.

Contraindications:

Do not administer parenterally.

How to use:

• Powdered infant formula is not sterile and should only be prepared just before administration
• Mix formula before use
• Formula should not be heated for more than 15 minutes before feeding
• Do not boil formula or use a microwave to prepare or heat formula
• The required amount and dilution should be determined by a physician and depends on the age, body weight, and clinical condition of each individual patient
• The recommended concentration is 16.8%
• To obtain 100 ml of formula, add 3 scoops (5.6 g) of Monogen to 90 ml of boiled and cooled water
• Your baby's health depends on carefully following the recommendations for preparing and administering formula
• Incorrect preparation can affect your baby's health.
