Colpofix

Colpofix is available as a fragrance-free vaginal gel spray with 10 vaginal applicators of 20 ml each or as 10 vaginal ovules.

There's also Colpofix Immunity 6g sachets 6g oral form of Colpofix Immunity created to support immunity. 

Colpofix vaginal gel spray has in its composition two functional substances: polycarbophil which forms a protective film over the vaginal mucosa and carboxymethyl beta-glucan which promotes reepithelialization of cervical lesions. 

Colpofix ovules contains hyaluronic acid, polycarbophil, lactic acid, vitamin E, vitamin A, 18-beta glycyrrhetinic acid, tea tree oil, phosphatidylcholine and semisynthetic triglycerides, ingredients that help replenish the vaginal flora.

Colpofix Immunity sachets contains Ditriamine (hydrolyzed casein), vitamin A, niacin, folic acid and zinc.

Colpofix is commonly used to treat and prevent a range of vaginal conditions, thanks to its ability to support the regeneration of the vaginal lining. Main indications include:

• Prevention and treatment of cervical lesions caused by HPV (human papillomavirus) infection: a Colpofix gel treatment helps to control the physiological conditions of the cervico-vaginal transformation zone. 

• Antimicrobial action: formation of a film that protects the cervicovaginal mucosa from the harmful action of external microbial agents
• Vaginal dryness: the hyaluronic acid in Colpofix eggs helps to moisturize and maintain an optimal level of moisture in the vaginal mucosa, facilitating the restoration of the vaginal environment

• Restoring the vaginal microbiota: Colpofix maintains a healthy vaginal microbiota through pH regulation and a prebiotic effect.

For Colpofix gel, one application (5 sprays) per day for 10 days is recommended in the evening before bedtime. One bottle corresponds to 10 days' use. Each vaginal applicator should be used only once and discarded immediately after use.

Colpofix ovules is administered intravaginally 1 ovule/day, preferably in the evening before bedtime, for 5-7 days or as directed by your doctor.

Even if symptoms improve more quickly, it is important to continue treatment as recommended by your doctor to ensure complete healing.

Colpofix is contraindicated in cases of known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. 

This product is formulated exclusively for cervico-vaginal applications and not for external use. 

It is recommended to start using Colpofix after prior medical advice.

Important! Proper hygiene before applying Colpofix is essential to avoid introducing bacteria during application. Wash your hands and vaginal area thoroughly before use.

In general, as long as taken as directed, Colpofix is well tolerated. 

However, if persistent unpleasant symptoms such as allergic-type symptoms occur, stop taking it and consult your doctor.

No significant interactions between Colpofix and other medications have been reported, but it is recommended that you talk to your doctor if you use other vaginal treatments or systemic medications.

In general, Colpofix can be used concurrently with other treatments, but applications should be spaced to avoid possible interactions or local irritation.

Colpofix overdose is unlikely, given the topical mode of administration. However, excessive use may lead to vaginal irritation or discomfort. 

If you notice severe or unusual side effects, discontinue use and seek medical attention.

Store in a dry place away from light and heat sources.
