Casen Fibra

Casen Fibra is available as an oral solution packaged in single-use sachets, each containing 10 ml of product. The standard box contains 14 sachets, which allows for use for up to 2 weeks, depending on the individual dosage.

This pharmaceutical form allows both direct administration and mixing with food or beverages without affecting their organoleptic characteristics.

Containing resistant maltodextrin and inulin oligosaccharides, Casen Fibra is mainly indicated for regulating intestinal transit in cases of occasional or chronic constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, intestinal dysbiosis and in any situation involving insufficient dietary fibre intake.

The product can also be used as an adjunct in detoxification regimens, weight loss diets or nutritional interventions aimed at normalising the intestinal flora.

The usual recommended dose varies between 1 and 3 sachets per day (corresponding to an intake of 10 ml to 30 ml of solution), adjusted according to the patient's age, diet and individual fibre requirements.

The dose should not be exceeded and administration should be in accordance with the instructions on the package or those provided by your doctor or pharmacist.

Casen Fibra is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the product, although the formula is specially designed to contain no known allergens.

It is also contraindicated in the presence of obstructive intestinal disorders, acute inflammatory conditions of the colon or in the event of severe abdominal symptoms (such as acute pain, nausea or vomiting) until their cause has been clarified.

Casen Fibra does not contain gluten, sweeteners or other additives with irritant or allergenic potential.

One of the major advantages of Casen Fibra is its versatility: the contents of each sachet can be consumed directly or added to drinks (water, natural juice, milk) or semi-solid foods (such as yoghurt, fruit purées, baby food).

It is important that the product is taken with an adequate intake of fluids to prevent bloating or abdominal discomfort.

Casen Fibra is generally well tolerated, but as with any fibre supplement, transient gastrointestinal effects such as bloating, flatulence or abdominal discomfort may occur, especially during the first few days of administration or in case of excessive consumption.

These symptoms are usually mild and disappear as the digestive tract adapts to the increased fibre intake.

No significant drug interactions have been reported in the literature regarding Casen Fibra.

However, soluble fibre may influence the intestinal absorption of certain medicines, which is why it is recommended to take Casen Fibra at least 2 hours apart from any other oral medicine.

Although Casen Fibra has a favourable safety profile, excessive consumption may lead to unpleasant symptoms such as diarrhoea, abdominal cramps or electrolyte imbalances.

In case of suspected overdose, discontinue administration and initiate symptomatic treatment. Accidental ingestion of a larger amount of the product is not dangerous, but should be evaluated according to the clinical context and the age of the patient.

The product should be stored at temperatures below 25°C, away from direct light and moisture, in its original packaging. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
