Horsetail tea, 50 g, Stef Mar Valcea

Active principles:
Silicic acid (of which 10-20% soluble), saponins, flavonoids, potassium salts, traces of volatile oil, a bitter principle, vitamin C.

Action:
Diuretic, dechlorinating, remineralizing, hemostatic, gastric neutralizer, expectorant, antieczematous, antiperspirant.

Major recommendations:
Kidney diseases (including urinary infections), dropsy, albuminuria, gout.

Other recommendations:
Heart diseases, adjuvant in pulmonary TB, anemia, prevention of caries and strengthening of fragile nails, hemorrhoids, dysmenorrhea, hyperacid gastritis, ulcer, cough, varicose ulcers, eczema, sweating of the feet.

Method of preparation and administration:
Internally - decoction (boil for 5 minutes) - 1 tablespoon per 250 ml cup, drink 2 cups a day, warm, before meals; cold macerated (6-8 hours, in the same proportions); powder (1 knife tip per day), as a remineralizer.

Contraindications:
Due to the high content of silicon, the consumption of this plant for children is not indicated for more than 2 weeks (breaks are taken and then resumed). Do not extend a ponytail treatment for more than 6 weeks. It is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Horsetail can irritate the digestive tract. It is good to avoid it if you suffer from heart and kidney diseases.
