Carci Reagent test for the detection of metabolites

CarciReagent – ​​an in vitro diagnostic device for self-testing, intended to determine the presence of monohydroxyphenol metabolites (tyrosine) and their approximate amount in the patient’s urine (non-professional semi-quantitative self-test).

How to use:

1. For the test, use fresh first morning urine (mid-stream urine), which
will be collected in any clean container without traces of cleaning and disinfecting agents.
2. Cover the ampoule with the protective plastic cap and carefully break off the top of the ampoule.
The ampoule should be handled with care as it contains acid. The test should be performed
immediately after opening the ampoule.
3. Draw a urine sample into the pipette.
4. Add 3 ml of urine to the ampoule (repeat until the urine reaches the line on the ampoule).
5. After 3-5 minutes of reaction, assess the color of the liquid (or possible precipitate) by visual inspection.

6. After the analysis, it can be determined whether the determination of tyrosine content in urine is
negative or positive (the table can be used to determine the approximate amount of tyrosine in urine). In the case of
positive result, please follow the instructions in this leaflet attached to
packaging.

Ingredients:

Zinc acetate, lithium carbonate, sodium nitrate, sodium acetate trihydrate, hydrogen peroxide (30%), distilled water.

Storage and use temperature:

When not in use, the product should be stored in a dry, closed place at a temperature of 5°C to 40°C. At an operating temperature of 5°C to 40°C, the test response time is 3 to 5 minutes.
