Corn for the production of popcorn is subject to strict control . After harvest, it is stored in baskets for about 10 months, where it dries very slowly to the ideal moisture inside the corn kernel, which should be between 13 and 15 percent.
Make popcorn in a pot
Place the popcorn in a pot of heated oil so that the corn just covers the bottom. Cover with a lid. When the intervals between popping the corn are longer than 5 seconds, turn off the stove. You can sprinkle salt on the corn or add a spoonful of butter to taste.
Preparation in the microwave oven
Place the corn in a bowl or paper bag. Cover the bowl lightly with a lid and microwave on the highest setting for about 3 to 4 minutes. When the intervals between popping the corn are longer than 5 seconds, turn off the oven. Attention: The bowl is hot after you take the popcorn out of the microwave! You can sprinkle salt over the popcorn or add a spoonful of butter to taste.
