It had a body covered with thick, rough skin and bony scales, like a crocodile, a huge skull, a massive muzzle, developed visual acuity and a fine sense of smell.
Having jaws equipped with strong muscles and numerous sharp and curved teeth, the Carnotaurus could tear off and swallow large pieces of meat with impressive force.
The particularity of this species consists in the fact that on its head near the eyes it had two large, sharp horns, similar to those of bulls.
Carnosauria is a large group of predatory dinosaurs that lived in the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.
Although it originally contained a wide range of giant theropods that were not closely related, the group has since been defined to include only allosaurs and their close relatives.
