Description
Fervex Pain and Fever Forte is a medicinal product in the form of effervescent tablets. It contains a high dose of paracetamol, providing effective analgesic and antipyretic effects.
Composition
The active substance of the drug is paracetamol ( Paracetamolum ).
One effervescent tablet contains 1 g of paracetamol ( Paracetamolum ).
Excipients: anhydrous citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, anhydrous sodium carbonate, sorbitol, sodium docusate, povidone, sodium saccharin, sodium benzoate.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any further questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The drug is administered orally, after dissolving the effervescent tablet in a glass of water. For adults, the drug should not be used for longer than 5 days, and for hot flashes, no longer than 3 days, without consulting a doctor.
The usual dose of Fervex Pain and Fever Forte for adults and children weighing more than 50 kg (over 15 years of age) is 1 effervescent tablet every 4–6 hours. The maximum daily dose is 4 effervescent tablets per day.Action

Indications
The indications for using Fervex pain and fever Forte effervescent tablets are pain of various origins (headache, toothache, joint pain, muscle pain, menstrual pain, neuralgia and others) or fever.
Contraindications
Fervex Pain and Fever Forte should not be used by people who are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients. Contraindications to use include severe liver failure, severe renal failure, alcoholism, or glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. This medicine is intended for people weighing more than 50 kg.
Side effects
Like all medicines, Fervex pain and fever Forte can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Rare side effects (less than 1 in 1000 but more than 1 in 10,000 treated patients): malaise, low blood pressure, increased activity of hepatic transaminases.
Very rare side effects (in less than 1 in 10,000 patients treated): hypersensitivity reactions, tachycardia, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, renal colic, renal papillary necrosis, acute renal failure, thrombocytopenia (decrease in the number of blood platelets), leukopenia (decrease in the number of white blood cells), neutropenia (decrease in the number of neutrophils - a type of white blood cells), decrease or increase in the INR (blood clotting factor).
Warnings and precautions
Fervex Pain and Fever Forte contains paracetamol, so check if other medications you are taking also contain this substance to avoid overdose. Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you have: liver dysfunction, including Gilbert's syndrome (familial hyperbilirubinemia), kidney dysfunction, alcoholism, excessive alcohol consumption (taking three or more alcoholic beverages daily), anorexia, bulimia, or cachexia, long-term malnutrition, low hepatic glutathione reserves (associated with, for example, eating disorders, cystic fibrosis, HIV infection, in starved or cachectic patients, or with sepsis), dehydration, or hypovolemia (reduced circulating blood volume). 1 effervescent tablet contains 567 mg of sodium, which should be noted by patients with reduced kidney function and those on a sodium-controlled diet. This medicine contains sorbitol, so patients with intolerance to some sugars should consult their doctor before using this medicine.
Use of other medications
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, have recently taken or are planning to take.
Fervex pain and fever Forte may interact with: MAO inhibitors (especially if used within the last 14 days); medicines containing salicylamide, medicines increasing hepatic metabolism (e.g. St. John's wort, antiepileptic drugs, barbiturates, rifampicin); isoniazid and zidovudine; nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs); oral anticoagulants; phenytoin; probenecid.
Taking the medicine with food and drink
While taking this medication, you should avoid drinking alcohol or taking medications containing alcohol due to the increased risk of toxic liver damage. People who are fasting and regularly drink alcohol are at particular risk of liver damage.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Impact on laboratory tests
Tell your doctor that you are taking this medicine if your doctor tells you to test your uric acid or blood sugar levels.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Not to be used in children under 15 years of age.
