Mepitac can be used to secure a wide variety of medical devices to fragile or sensitive skin, such as drains, tubes, probes, electrodes, IV cannulas, or dressings. Featuring Safetac technology, Mepitac is specifically designed to minimize pain and trauma during application and removal. It is suitable for newborns, dialysis patients, and anyone who requires repeated application of a fixation dressing to the same area.

Application areas of Mepitac:
Mepitac was developed for the gentle fixation of medical products such as drains, tubes, probes, electrodes, IV cannulas, and dressings to the skin. It is suitable for patients with fragile or sensitive skin – or when the fixation dressing needs to be applied and removed frequently, e.g., in newborns or dialysis patients.

Application of Mepitac:
Ensure the skin is clean, dry, and free of ointments and other residues. For first-time use, pull the green strip out of the packaging until the dressing is visible and cut it to the required length. Remove the protective film. Apply Mepitac without stretching it. If a check or repositioning is necessary, Mepitac can be lifted and reapplied.
