The Omega-3 capsules consist of natural fish oil – not a concentrate – with a fatty acid complex of over 50 fatty acids. Norsan fish oil is extracted and purified gently, preserving the fish's natural fatty acid structure.

The difference between natural fish oil and a concentrate lies in the fact that in concentrates, the natural fatty acid structure of the fish oil is altered through various chemical processes to artificially increase the concentration of omega-3 fatty acids. Currently, little is known about how (processed) concentrated fish oil behaves in the body after consumption. Taking non-concentrated natural fish oil, such as that contained in omega-3 capsules, has a similar effect to consuming fish and is therefore recommended.

Norsan fish oil is exceptionally fresh and of correspondingly high quality. The quality of the fish oil in the Omega-3 capsules is further evident in their smell and taste. You can perceive the quality of the capsules directly upon taking them, as they do not cause any unpleasant after-effects .

The Omega-3 fish oil capsules come from sustainable wild-caught fish and are extracted directly from the fish flesh , not as a byproduct from the liver. Small, sustainably caught wild fish such as sardines, mackerel, and anchovies are used. After being caught, the fish are processed and chilled directly on the boat.

The fishery is subject to strict Norwegian guidelines and has the recognized Friends of the Sea certification. The fish oil is subsequently purified of pollutants and PCBs and tested according to strict Norwegian regulations .
