Cold-pressed extra virgin oil, extracted from the seeds of the argan tree (Argania spinosa)

- Argan is a tall tree with thorns, oval leaves that are green all year round and fruits similar to olives.
- Argan is native to Morocco, where it is called the "olive of Morocco", from the southwestern regions: Agadir, Essaouira and Taroudant, but it also grows in the Madeira Islands, Cape Verde and the Canary Islands
- The argan tree yields around 8 kilograms of fruit per year.
- Argan oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds, a thorough process because one kilogram of seeds is pressed in about eight hours, and 3 liters of oil are obtained from 100 kilograms of seeds, which is why argan oil is considered "the gold the desert".
Argan oil contains: linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid, striac acid, unsaturated fatty acids (Omega 3, 6 and 9), antioxidants, carotenes, vitamin E, etc. and can be used for therapeutic, culinary or cosmetic purposes.
