Flavamed - Syrup, 100 ml, Berlin-Chemie Ag

Indications: Acute and chronic respiratory diseases, acute exacerbations in COPD, prevention of postoperative pulmonary complications.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ambroxol or other components of the product.

Administration: Syrup, oral administration. Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml (2 teaspoons) 2 times a day, for a period of approximately 14 days; Children 6-12 years: 5 ml (1 teaspoon) 2-3 times a day; children 2-6 years: 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) 3 times a day; children 1-2 years: 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) 2 times a day. The above doses are recommended for initial treatment; after 14 days the doses can be halved.

Side effects: Rare: gastrointestinal disturbances or allergic reactions especially in atopic patients.

Interactions: Increases the concentration of some antibiotics (amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin, doxycycline) in the lung tissue. No other interactions are known.
