ASKINA Soft sterile 5 x 7.5 cm is a soft wound dressing for reliable care after surgery and for acute wounds such as cuts, lacerations, sutures, and abrasions. The dressing is sterilely packaged and therefore particularly suitable for fresh, sensitive wounds. Its material combination ensures gentle coverage and promotes a hygienic wound environment.

Features and benefits

The wound dressing consists of a perforated non-woven fabric that feels comfortable against the skin and completely covers the wound. The adhesive side is coated with a medical-grade acrylic adhesive that securely fixes the dressing to the skin. Inside is an absorbent pad that soaks up wound fluid. This pad is laminated on one side with a porous polyethylene film that ensures targeted fluid transport.

Application

Clean and thoroughly dry the affected skin and wound area before applying the dressing. Remove the folded separating discs to expose the adhesive side. Position the absorbent pad centrally over the wound and gently press the non-woven edge with the acrylic adhesive onto the surrounding skin. The dressing should lie flat without wrinkles.

Instructions for safe use

Use ASKINA Soft only on intact surrounding skin and exclusively for the specified wound types, such as postoperative wounds, cuts, lacerations, sutures, and abrasions. Be sure to check the dressing regularly and change it if it becomes visibly wet or soiled. If you experience severe redness, pain, or unusual reactions in the wound area, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
