Hand disinfection and care

Stressed, damaged skin often threatens the success of hand disinfection. Daily regenerative care has been proven to be very important for maintaining skin function. During breaks, after the end of the working hours and at the end of the working day, use protective and care preparations, e.g. from the Baktolan® range of products. If the treatment emulsion is used just before hand disinfection, there is a risk that the effectiveness of the disinfection will be negatively affected.

In contrast, studies on the effectiveness of Sterillium® in combination with the commonly used skin care products Baktolan® balm and Baktolan® lotion showed no adverse effect on disinfection. Studies have shown that the use of these skin care products has no effect on the effectiveness of subsequent disinfection with Sterillium®. From a microbiological point of view, there are no objections to the use of Baktolan® balm or Baktolan® lotion in combination with Sterillium® hand sanitizer (Evaluation test report – Prof. Dr. P. Heeg, 28.08.1999). ​

Dosage

Pure Sterillium® Gel is rubbed undiluted into dry hands. Make sure that the hands are completely covered with the product during the entire exposure time. Pay special attention to the tips of your fingers and thumbs. The preparation should be applied from a dispenser, ideally with an elbow or touchless control.
