Sterile wound dressing for postoperative healing wounds

Cosmopor sterile wound dressing 8 x 15 cm from Adequapharm is a self-adhesive, sterile wound dressing for the protection of postoperative, primarily healing wounds. It is suitable for absorbing exudate from normally exuding wounds, thus supporting a clean and protected wound environment. The dressing can also be used to protect wounds after treatments such as disinfection.

Product features and benefits

The wound dressing consists of a perforated non-woven backing material made of 100% polyester, which feels comfortable against the skin. The integrated wound pad has a two-layer construction: a permeable polyethylene mesh layer lies directly on the wound, while a viscose absorbent layer absorbs wound exudate. The self-adhesive backing allows for easy application and securely fixes the wound.

Application

Clean and care for the wound according to the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist. Gently dry the surrounding skin before applying the Cosmopor sterile wound dressing. Remove the protective film, center the dressing over the wound, and carefully press down the adhesive edge. The dressing should be checked regularly and changed as needed, depending on the condition of the wound and how wet the dressing is.

Use this dressing only on properly treated and cleaned wounds, in accordance with its intended purpose for postoperative and primary healing wounds, as well as normally exuding wounds. Ensure that the backing material adheres completely to the skin and that no wrinkles form. If you experience any signs of intolerance or unusual changes in the wound area, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use damaged or non-sterile dressings.
