The Diather Covid-19 Antigen medical device is a rapid antigen test for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It is intended for self-monitoring, home use, using self-collected saliva samples from people with symptoms, suspected of being infected or infected with COVID-19.

The product is a qualitative immunochromatographic test for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigens. Its reagent is antibodies directed against the coronavirus that causes the acute respiratory infectious disease COVID-19. Current epidemiological studies indicate that the incubation period of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is from 1 to 14 days, most often from 3 to 7 days, and the main symptoms of infection are fever, fatigue and dry cough. In some cases, sore throat, runny nose, stuffy nose, muscle pain and diarrhea also occur.

The test is characterized by fast execution - the result is obtained after 15 minutes - and high accuracy (total accuracy is 97%).

The product can be used by adults. Saliva samples from teenagers and children can also be tested, but the test must always be performed under adult supervision.

The medical device allows you to get a preliminary result, which should be confirmed by additional tests.
