Product description:
DURAMAX S is a non-occlusive, breathable wound dressing that optimally maintains wound moisture and helps protect the surrounding tissue and wound edges from wound exudate and moisture. DURAMAX S is particularly well-suited for conditions such as venous leg ulcers. A venous leg ulcer is a chronic wound on the lower leg resulting from chronic venous insufficiency.

DURAMAX S can absorb large amounts of exudate and, thanks to its silicone contact layer, can be removed atraumatically. It can also be used under compression, which is particularly advantageous in this indication, as a phlebological compression bandage is frequently used to support venous return.

For the treatment of chronic and strongly smelling wounds:
DURAMAX S wound dressings are also indicated for other strongly scented wounds with very high levels of exudate. This includes diabetic foot syndrome, which is usually chronic and requires ongoing treatment, as well as all forms of arterial ulcers resulting from insufficient blood supply. Second-degree burns, which are accompanied by blistering and severe pain, can also be kept optimally moist and treated painlessly with DURAMAX S, as this dressing does not stick to the wound bed.

Postoperative and traumatic wounds also benefit from the 6-layer design, which absorbs and locks in viscous exudate, is breathable, and features a water vapor-permeable top layer.
