Leukomed® skin sensitive: Skin-friendly wound dressing

Surgical and traumatic wounds carry a high risk of infection. A sterile dressing can reduce this risk by protecting the wound from pathogens and contaminants. Leukomed® skin sensitive was specifically developed for patients with sensitive or already damaged skin and provides an effective barrier against pathogens and bacteria. For comfortable wear, the sterile non-woven dressing consists of a transversely elastic polyester fleece with a soft surface. The wound pad, made of viscose non-woven fabric coated with polypropylene, is highly absorbent and suitable for slightly to moderately exuding wounds.

Leukomed® skin sensitive is the ideal solution for postoperative and traumatic wounds, especially when the patient has fragile skin and requires particularly gentle care. The sterile, transversely elastic polyester nonwoven fabric features a wound pad suitable for wounds with light to moderate exudate. Patients particularly appreciate the soft surface and the virtually painless removal of the dressing.

Leukomed® skin sensitive protects the skin and supports successful therapy. Leukomed® skin sensitive consists of a soft polyester nonwoven fabric coated with silicone. The wound dressing is made of a viscose nonwoven fabric coated with polypropylene.

How long the dressing should remain on the wound, or how often a dressing change is necessary, always depends on the individual case and should be discussed with the treating physician or nursing staff.

In general, a wound can be safely treated with Leukomed® skin sensitive for one or more days due to the reliable adhesion of the silicone coating. Additionally, the rounded corners prevent the non-woven dressing from detaching prematurely.

No. Leukomed® skin sensitive is manufactured without the use of natural rubber latex. Thanks to its latex-free formula, the product can therefore also be used by people who are allergic to latex.
