Chanel No 5 is the most famous perfume in the world, created in 1921. Coco Chanel then asked the outstanding perfume creator, Ernest Beaux, to create a new, exciting fragrance for women that would match the image of the company she was creating. The designer gave Coco several fragrances to choose from, she liked one of the samples the most, marked number 5 - it was decided not to change the name. In 1986, Jacques Polge reinterpreted the composition of his predecessor Ernest Beaux to create a fuller, more voluminous version of a feminine fragrance for all time: Eau de Parfum.

At the time of its premiere, No. 5 was a revolutionary perfume - while all previous ones focused on the scent of one type of flower, this rule was broken and a rich fragrance bouquet was created - rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang from the Komoro Islands were combined with synthetically obtained aldehydes, which strengthened and emphasized the floral scent. It was a breakthrough in perfume production, art and technology combined into one!
