Description
Swanson Astaxanthin is a dietary supplement in capsule form containing astaxanthin. It is a chemical compound belonging to carenotoids, i.e. pigments found naturally in plants. It dissolves in fats. It can be produced by some species of algae, yeasts and bacteria. The main natural source is the green algae Haematococcus pluvialis and the extract from this algae is used to obtain the Swanson Astaxanthin product.
