Enterogermina

Enterogermina Forte is available in single-dose vials containing an oral suspension, each containing 4 billion Bacillus clausii spores (SIN strain). This liquid formulation facilitates administration in both adults and children over 3 years of age, allowing for direct ingestion or dilution of the contents in water. 

The single-dose packaging helps maintain microbiological stability and reduce the risk of contamination.

Enterogermina vials are indicated for restoring and protecting the intestinal flora in situations characterised by an imbalance in the microbiota, such as acute or chronic diarrhoea, including diarrhoea associated with antibiotic use, irregular bowel movements and periods of an unbalanced diet. 

The product may be used as an adjunct in maintaining digestive health and supporting immune function, given the central role of the gut in the body’s defence.

For adults and children over 3 years of age, the recommended dose is 1 bottle per day. The bottle must be shaken before use to homogenise the suspension. To open, twist and remove the top; the contents can be consumed as is or diluted in water. 

Once opened, the product should be administered promptly to prevent contamination of the suspension. It is recommended not to exceed the indicated daily dose.

Enterogermina probiotic is contraindicated in people with known hypersensitivity to any of the product’s ingredients. 

Furthermore, its use is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, as there are insufficient clinical data to support the safety of administration during these periods. 

The product must not be used in children under 3 years of age and is intended for oral use only.

A distinctive feature of Enterogermina Forte is the exceptional resistance of Bacillus clausii spores to the action of gastric juices, which ensures probiotic efficacy from the very first day. The spores germinate in the intestine and help restore the balance of the microbiota, competing with pathogenic microorganisms and stimulating the body’s natural defence mechanisms. 

This food supplement should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle.

Enterogermina Forte is generally well tolerated. In rare cases, mild gastrointestinal disturbances may occur, such as temporary bloating or abdominal discomfort, particularly at the start of treatment, as a result of the gut flora’s adaptation process. 

Allergic reactions are rare, but may occur in people sensitive to any of the ingredients. If unusual or persistent symptoms occur, it is recommended to stop taking the product and consult a specialist.

Enterogermina Forte can be taken at the same time as antibiotics without losing its effectiveness, thanks to the spore-forming nature of Bacillus clausii, which is resistant to numerous classes of antibiotics. However, to optimise the probiotic effect, it is recommended to take it a few hours apart from the antibiotic. 

There are no known significant interactions with food; the product can be taken regardless of meals.

No cases of overdose with Enterogermina Forte have been reported when the dosage instructions are followed. Given the high safety profile of probiotic spores, the risk of serious adverse effects is low. 

However, exceeding the recommended dose is not advisable and does not provide any additional benefits for gut health.

The product should be stored at temperatures not exceeding 25 °C, in its original packaging, away from light and moisture. The bottles should be kept out of reach of young children. 

It is recommended that the expiry date printed on the packaging be observed.
